About iPlace Global
iPlace Global is the UK's home moving hub. We help people compare trusted conveyancers, surveyors and removal companies in one place. Alongside our comparison tools, our Advice & Guides library is a core part of how movers find us and why they trust us.
About the role
This is a writing-first role sitting within our SEO team. You'll be the engine behind our Advice & Guides library. Drafting, fact-checking, editing and publishing a high volume of clear, helpful, SEO-driven content about moving home: conveyancing, surveying, removals, mortgages, packing, property chains, home insurance and everything in between. You'll use AI tools to speed up research, but you own the quality: every article is drafted, proofread, source-checked and verified as accurate by you before it goes live. If you love turning a topic into a genuinely useful article without the waffle, and hitting publish many times a week, this is your job.
What you'll do
- Draft and publish multiple blog posts and guides per week across conveyancing, surveying, removals and the wider home-moving journey.
- Use proprietary and third-party AI tools to assist with drafting, research and ideation while applying human judgement, editing and fact-checking so nothing is published unverified.
- Proofread every piece to a high standard: grammar, spelling, tone and readability.
- Check sources and confirm truth: verify facts, figures, fees and legal details against reliable primary sources before publishing, and edit documents for accuracy.
- Follow SEO best practices in every article: keyword research and targeting, search intent, on-page optimisation (titles, metas, headings), internal linking and structured content.
- Use SEO tools daily (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics) to find keyword opportunities, brief articles and measure what's working.
- Work as part of the SEO team: pick up briefs, contribute to the content calendar, and prioritise articles that drive organic traffic and quote requests.
- Refresh and optimise existing guides to keep them accurate, current and ranking.
- Write in the IPlace Global voice - friendly, plain-English, no jargon, no waffle.
- Adapt blog content into newsletters, emails, social posts and landing page copy where needed.
What we're looking for
- 2–4 years' experience writing blog or editorial content professionally, ideally for a consumer brand, comparison site or property/finance business.
- A prolific writer: comfortable producing many polished, well-researched articles a week.
- Experience using AI writing tools productively, and the editorial judgement to know their limits, spot errors and hallucinations, and rewrite in a human voice.
- Meticulous proofreader and editor with a fact-checking mindset, able to verify claims against credible sources; our readers make big financial decisions off the back of our content.
- Strong grasp of SEO best practices — keyword research, search intent, on-page optimisation, internal linking.
- Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush and Google Search Console.
- Ability to make complex topics (legal fees, surveys, moving costs) simple and readable.
- Experience with a CMS, editor, WordPress, etc.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the UK property, conveyancing or home-moving market.
- Experience writing for comparison or lead-generation sites.
- Basic image editing or familiarity with design tools like Canva.
What we offer
- Competitive salary.
- A small, friendly team where your writing is front and centre not buried in approval chains.
- Central London office (5 days per week in office).
- Growth path into senior marketing roles.
How to apply
Attach your CV and 2–3 published writing samples (must be links to live content).
