Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and professional Care Home Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our care facility, Vauxhall Court Care Home, Freiston Road, Boston, PE21 0JW. The home is under new management and the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth administrative processes, supporting staff, and maintaining excellent communication with residents, families, and external agencies. This is a paid position that offers an opportunity to contribute to a compassionate environment while developing your administrative expertise within the healthcare sector. Duties
- Manage all administrative tasks related to the care home, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Handle human resources responsibilities such as onboarding, and staff scheduling.
- Oversee office operations, including organising meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining filing systems.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when communicating with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and external organisations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies through meticulous record-keeping.
- Assist with organising training sessions and professional development activities for staff members.
Skills
- Proven experience in office administration within a healthcare or care environment is highly desirable.
- Experience as a care assistant or senior care assistant is preferable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional phone manner.
- Proficiency in general clerical software (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Demonstrated team management and supervising experience, with the ability to motivate staff.
- Knowledge of human resources procedures relevant to care settings.
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a collaborative approach when necessary.
