Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated, organised and enthusiastic Training & Compliance Officer to join our growing Health & Social Care organisation.
This role is responsible for ensuring our staff receive high-quality training, maintain competency and remain compliant with mandatory training requirements. You will coordinate and deliver training, complete competency assessments, support new starters through the Care Certificate and ensure the organisation remains inspection ready.
You will work closely with the Registered Manager, Day Centre Manager and senior leadership team to promote continuous learning, maintain high standards of care and improve staff performance.
Key Responsibilities
Training
- Coordinate and allocate all mandatory online training.
- Monitor staff training compliance.
- Deliver classroom-based mandatory training.
- Deliver new starter inductions.
- Deliver medication awareness and competency training.
- Deliver Moving & Handling training.
- Complete the Care Certificate with new starters.
- Organise refresher training sessions.
- Deliver additional training where learning needs are identified.
Competency Assessments
- Carry out workplace competency observations.
- Complete medication competency assessments.
- Observe staff delivering care and provide coaching where required.
- Sign staff off as competent when standards have been achieved.
- Identify staff requiring additional support or retraining.
Compliance
Maintain the company training matrix.
- Monitor mandatory training expiry dates.
- Chase outstanding training.
- Produce monthly training compliance reports.
- Maintain accurate training records.
- Ensure training documentation is inspection ready.
- Support managers in maintaining compliance across all services.
Quality Improvement
- Provide feedback to managers following observations.
- Identify trends and recurring learning needs.
- Assist with updating training presentations and learning materials.
- Promote a positive learning culture across the organisation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent).
- Experience working within Health & Social Care.
- Experience delivering training to adults.
- Good knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Desirable Requirements
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).
- Medication Train the Trainer qualification.
- Moving & Handling Train the Trainer qualification.
- Experience delivering the Care Certificate.
- Experience completing competency assessments.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Adult Care.

- £16.00 per hour.
- 30-hour permanent contract.
- Monday to Friday working pattern (flexibility may occasionally be required).
