Overview
We are looking for a Tiktok volunteer to join our Social Media team at Oxfam Darlington Charity Shop, to work alongside our other social media volunteers to run our TikTok account for the shop. We want our TikTok to be fun and entertaining, using current trends and sounds, as well as developing your own ideas for entertaining and/or informative content. The volunteer should have a focus on promoting volunteering and charity shopping with fun and informative reels, and on growing our following.
This voluntary role involves:
-Creating fun, informative content which promotes volunteering;
-Producing a minimum of 4 good posts per week;
- Promoting the stock available to buy in store;
- Following current Social Media trends as well as creating unique content;
- Engaging with other volunteers to be involved in content;
- working collabaratively with other social media volunteers;
- Keeping informed of events, promotions etc that would benefit from social media content;
- Keeping managers informed of plans, as well as responding to their suggestions.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have an interest and a working knowledge in Social Media;
- Be able to work well independently and as part of the larger team;
- have good written communication skills;
- have good interpersonal skills to work with a large and varied group of volunteers,
- Have a good understanding and familiarity with how social media works;
- Have good attention to detail;
- Be available for a minimum of one 4 hour shift per week in store;
- Be able to spend some time each week planning and organizing posts ahead of schedule.
