Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, negotiable depending on experience
Reporting To: Managing Director
About Northbound Projects Ltd
Northbound Projects Ltd is a growing property and construction company delivering high-quality renovation and new-build work across residential and commercial properties. We're looking for an experienced Working Foreman to take on one of our site teams and play a key role in our expanding portfolio of projects.
Role Overview
We're looking for a highly experienced, all-round joiner who can lead from the front — running a team, hitting agreed targets, and keeping projects moving. This role covers everything from larger developments through to individual kitchen jobs, so you'll need to be equally comfortable managing the pace of a multi-week build and turning around a smaller job quickly and to a high standard. Experience is everything to us: we want to see a genuine, proven track record of high-quality finished work, and you'll be expected to demonstrate this with real examples. This is a hands-on leadership role with a company van and fuel card provided, and a clear path to grow further within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a site team of up to 4, allocating work and keeping every job on programme
- Carry out and oversee main-trade joinery to a high standard: first fix, second fix, kitchen fitting, doors, staircases, fitted furniture and general carpentry
- Hit agreed site and development targets consistently — this is a core measure of the role, not a one-off expectation
- Maintain steady project movement across a mixed workload, from full developments down to standalone kitchen jobs, without loss of pace or quality
- Work across the full range of projects, from kitchen renovations to full house builds and extensions
- Read and work from drawings and specifications, flagging issues before they become problems
- Log daily progress, materials, and site updates using Buildertrend
- Liaise directly with clients, the office, and other trades on site — a confident, clear communicator
- Maintain company van, tools, and equipment to a high standard, and uphold all health & safety requirements
Required Experience & Skills
- Extensive, proven experience as a joiner across both renovation and new-build work — this is a priority for us
- Able to provide evidence of previous completed work (photos, portfolio, or references) alongside your application
- Previous experience leading or supervising a site team, with a track record of hitting targets and deadlines
- Comfortable managing multiple trades and coordinating a job from start to finish
- Experience using Buildertrend or similar site/project management software (or a fast learner if not)
- Strong communication skills — with clients, the team, and the office
- Full UK Driving Licence
- CSCS Card
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Site Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent)
- Experience quoting or estimating works
- First Aid at Work certificate
What We Offer
- Company van and fuel card provided
- Competitive salary, negotiable depending on experience
- Full-time, permanent position
- Genuine opportunity to grow and progress within a fast-growing company
- Supportive, ambitious team environment
- Ongoing training and development opportunities
