We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at our modern BRC-accredited manufacturing facility in Willand, Devon.
Role Purpose
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of quality, food safety, and compliance that Dragonfly Foods is known for. Working closely with Production and Technical teams, you will be responsible for carrying out product inspections, monitoring manufacturing processes, completing quality documentation, and ensuring all products meet customer and company specifications.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within food quality and technical operations. Previous QA experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily production activities to ensure products are manufactured to customer and company quality standards
- Carry out routine quality checks, inspections, and sampling throughout the production process
- Ensure full product traceability is maintained and all records are completed accurately
- Complete online quality checks in accordance with site procedures and testing frequencies
- Maintain accurate quality records and ensure all documentation is completed correctly
- Review and verify daily production paperwork to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
- Support internal audits, customer visits, and third-party inspections when required
- Promote quality assurance principles and food safety standards across all areas of the site
- Carry out calibration checks on quality monitoring equipment and maintain calibration records
- Investigate and report any quality concerns, non-conformances, or product issues to the relevant departments
About You
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role is advantageous but not essential
- Experience within the food manufacturing industry would be beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Committed to food safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Shift & Benefits
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 22:00
- Pay: £13.46 / hour, Overtime >37.5 hours 1.5x
- Training: Full on-site training provided
- Location: Willand, Devon
- Holiday: 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
