Quantity Surveyor / Construction Estimator (Part-Time)
Location: Manchester Airport, Manchester
Working Pattern: 2 days per week (Office-based only – no remote working)

Ampa Construction Ltd is a growing specialist contractor delivering projects throughout the North West. We specialise in:
- Passive Fire Protection
- Drylining & Internal Partitions
- Plastering
- Suspended Ceilings
- Fire Door Installation & Remedial Works
Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor / Construction Estimator to support our expanding workload.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates and quotations for a variety of construction projects, primarily within Passive Fire Protection, Drylining and Plastering.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Carrying out quantity take-offs
- Obtaining and comparing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Assisting with procurement and cost planning
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and the project team
- Supporting commercial activities across multiple projects
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in Quantity Surveying or Construction Estimating (preferred but not essential)
- Can read and interpret construction drawings
- Has good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Has excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Is organised, reliable and able to work independently
- Has good communication skills
