Labyrinth is a toddler play cafe Monday - Friday and a laser centre & make-a-bear party centre during the evenings and weekends. We're looking for a confident, energetic person to join our team as a key holder. You’ll be trusted to run the venue during your shifts, keep everything organised, and ensure our customers have a fantastic experience.
This is a hands-on role in a small team - all staff share all roles, but you will take the lead in our open kitchen/service counter, making food while overseeing table management, bookings, enquiries, stock and planning.
Hours: 1-2 weekend shifts of around 6 hours (opening or closing) plus 1-3 weekday shifts (9:30 am-2:30 pm). 15-25 hours a week.
The Role:
- Customer Experience: Hosting laser tag and Make-a-Bear parties, welcoming guests, and communicating confidently with parents.
- Food & Beverage: Taking orders, preparing, and serving pizzas, paninis, Buddha bowls, and drinks.
- Venue Management: Managing bookings, coordinating staff, restocking, and keeping the cafe clean and running smoothly.
- Leadership: Keeping multiple activities on track during busy periods, solving problems on the fly, and making independent decisions without needing constant supervision.
You need to be fun, creative and proactive with the energy and enthusiasm to lead groups of both children and adults, while getting on well with the team - a quick learner who stays calm under pressure, multitasks efficiently, and enjoys being busy. Previous supervisory experience in a customer-facing, hospitality, or leisure role is essential.
