Injection Moulding Setter/Technician
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Injection Moulding Technician to join our manufacturing team, producing high-quality medical components in a clean, regulated production environment. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, start up, and optimize injection moulding machines to meet production schedules.
- Perform mould changes and process start-ups.
- Monitor production to ensure consistent product quality and process stability.
- Troubleshoot moulding, tooling, and processing issues to minimize downtime.
- Carry out first-off inspections and support quality activities.
- Maintain process documentation and ensure all production records are completed accurately.
- Work in accordance with GMP, ISO 13485, and company quality procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and liaise with the maintenance team on equipment issues.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping within production and cleanroom areas.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as an Injection Moulding Technician or Process Technician.
- Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes, machine setup, and process optimization.
- Experience with mould changes, process troubleshooting, and process improvements.
- Understanding of scientific moulding principles is desirable.
- Experience working in a medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO 13485, or similar quality standards is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and quality specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
