We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of specialist odour neutralisation and odour control systems, dust suppression and dust control systems, supporting customers across the UK.
Our specialist products and services are predominantly supplied into the waste and recycling, environmental and construction sectors, where we work closely with customers to provide practical, technically appropriate solutions to complex environmental challenges.
As the business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager to take responsibility for developing new business, growing existing customer relationships and driving sustainable sales across the Company's products and services.
The Role
The Sales Manager will play a key role in the continued growth of the business, identifying and developing new commercial opportunities while maximising the potential of existing customer relationships.
This is a customer-facing, commercially focused role requiring someone who is confident engaging with customers at all levels, understands the importance of building long-term relationships and is able to take ownership of the sales process from initial enquiry through to successful completion. The successful candidate will be expected to work proactively towards agreed sales and business development targets, manage their sales pipeline effectively and identify opportunities to increase both revenue and recurring income for the business.
As our products and services are specialist and technically driven, the role requires someone with the ability and enthusiasm to develop a strong understanding of the Company’s equipment, systems and chemical solutions. The successful candidate will need to absorb and apply technical information, understand how products and systems operate, identify customer requirements and translate these into practical, commercially viable solutions.
The role will involve providing customers with accurate technical and commercial information throughout the sales and quotation process. This will include understanding customer applications and operational requirements, interpreting technical specifications, discussing applications with customers and colleagues, and ensuring quotations and proposals clearly communicate the proposed solution, scope of supply and associated benefits.
The successful candidate does not need to be a technical engineer at the outset; however, they must have a strong aptitude for understanding technical products and applications and the ability to learn and retain technical information quickly. They must be confident asking the right questions, identifying customer requirements and communicating technical information clearly and effectively. The ability to recognise when additional technical input is required and work collaboratively with internal technical and operational teams will also be important.
The role involves regular travel to customer sites, including waste transfer stations, recycling facilities, construction sites and other industrial premises. The successful candidate must therefore be comfortable working in challenging operational environments, which may be noisy, dusty, dirty, outdoors or otherwise demanding. A practical and adaptable approach is essential, together with a willingness to undertake site visits, understand customers’ operational challenges and develop solutions that work effectively within their environment.
The Sales Manager will be expected to represent the Company professionally across a wide range of customer environments, from operational site personnel through to senior management and key decision-makers. They will need to be equally comfortable discussing technical solutions at site level, developing commercial proposals and presenting the Company’s capabilities to senior stakeholders.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced salesperson looking to develop their career within the air quality and environmental sector, or an individual with relevant industry experience who is looking to take the next step in their commercial career.
