Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring each customer has a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be organised, attentive to detail, and possess excellent communication skills.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and addressing any concerns promptly
- Handle payments accurately and provide receipts to guests
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout the shift
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist with setting up tables and preparing the dining area before service begins
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Ability to prepare simple food items or assist in the kitchen if required
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently
- Good time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest experience and sales performance
- Team player with effective communication skills and a positive attitude
