Wales Environmental is looking to recruit a Site Operator to join our growing team.
This is a varied, hands-on role working on an industrial site, supporting our environmental and drainage operations. The successful candidate will be part of a professional team delivering a high standard of service to our customers.
The Role
As a Site Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out a variety of environmental, drainage and site-based works.
- Assisting with Jet-Vac, vacuum tanker and high-pressure water jetting operations.
- Operating site equipment safely and efficiently following appropriate training.
- Carrying out cleaning, maintenance and general site duties.
- Working on planned and reactive customer contracts.
- Loading, unloading and handling equipment and materials.
- Working safely in accordance with company procedures and site requirements.
- Completing relevant paperwork and job records.
- Maintaining a professional approach when representing Wales Environmental on customer sites.
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and practical, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
You will need:
- A positive attitude and good work ethic.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- A willingness to work outdoors and in a variety of environments.
- Flexibility around working hours, including occasional early starts and out-of-hours work.
- A commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
Previous experience within drainage, environmental services, construction, waste management or a similar industry would be an advantage, but is not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Qualifications
The following would be desirable but are not essential:
- CSCS card.
- High Pressure Water Jetting qualification.
- Confined Space training.
- Previous experience operating environmental or drainage equipment.
