Build Something Exceptional
At Westbury Windows & Joinery, we don't mass produce. We create some of the UK's finest bespoke timber windows, doors and roof lanterns for prestigious residential and commercial projects.
For over 30 years, we've combined traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge manufacturing technology to produce luxury joinery that sets the benchmark for quality. Every product that leaves our factory reflects the skill, precision and pride of the people who make it.
We're looking for a Cramp Operator who wants more than just another factory job. This is an opportunity to become part of a highly skilled team, develop your expertise and build a long-term career within a growing premium manufacturer.
The Role
You'll play a key part in producing our high-end timber windows and doors, working with precision-machined components and ensuring every assembly meets the exceptional standards our customers expect.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who already has experience operating machinery—ideally a cramp or press—and who understands the importance of accuracy, quality and teamwork.
As your skills develop, you'll have genuine opportunities to broaden your knowledge across our manufacturing processes and progress within the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating and setting our cramp/press machinery.
- Unloading machined timber components.
- Assembling bespoke timber windows and doors.
- Manufacturing and fitting internal glazing bars.
- Gluing and fitting sub-cills to frames.
- Preparing completed products for the finishing department.
- Checking all components meet specification and our exacting quality standards.
- Working efficiently to production schedules without compromising quality.
- Maintaining machinery and keeping your work area clean and organised.
- Following Health & Safety procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing quality work and wants to develop their career within a respected manufacturer.
Essential:
- Previous experience operating a cramp, press or similar production machinery.
- Experience working within the timber joinery or timber manufacturing industry.
- Experience working with timber products.
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Physically fit and capable of handling timber components safely.
- Reliable, hardworking and quality-focused.
Why Join Westbury?
This is more than just a production role. You'll be joining a business that's recognised for excellence, investing in modern technology while continuing to value traditional craftsmanship.
You'll have the opportunity to contribute to prestigious projects across the UK, producing bespoke joinery that becomes part of some of the country's most impressive homes and buildings.
If you're ambitious, motivated and keen to develop your skills, we'll support your progression as you grow with the company.
