Architectural Engineering Ltd is looking for an organised, confident and proactive Operations Assistant to join our growing Operations team.
You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring projects progress efficiently and communication between customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams runs smoothly.
This role would suit someone with previous experience in a manufacturing, construction, engineering or glazing environment who is confident managing multiple tasks and working in a fast-paced office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to the Operations team.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and subcontractors via telephone and email.
- Maintain accurate project information and company records.
- Update production schedules and spreadsheets.
- Monitor outstanding actions and ensure information is communicated to the relevant departments.
- Work closely with Production, Procurement and Installation teams.
- Assist in keeping projects organised and progressing to programme.
- Support the department with general operational and administrative duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an operations, manufacturing, engineering or construction environment.
- Excellent communication and telephone skills.
- Confident, organised and able to work using your own initiative.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure.
- Professional and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working as part of a close-knit team.
- Confident communicating with customers and subcontractors, able to work independently, and willing to take ownership of your workload.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within the steel, aluminium, glazing or fabrication industry.
- Experience supporting an Operations team.
- Understanding of manufacturing or construction processes.
