Cole Security Services Ltd is looking for an experienced security professional to join our Operations Team as a Mobile Response Supervisor. You'll take responsibility for supporting and supervising our Mobile Response Officers, coordinating operational activity and responding to incidents across Greater Manchester — with a company vehicle provided while on duty.
About the Role
This is a permanent night-shift position working a 4 on / 4 off pattern, supporting the Mobile Response Team across a range of client sites. As a Mobile Response Supervisor, you will provide operational support and supervision to the Mobile Response Team across a range of client sites.
You will be responsible for attending alarm activations, allocating and delegating duties, conducting welfare and conformance checks, supporting officers during incidents, and ensuring operational standards and company procedures are consistently maintained. The role requires someone who can remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively and make confident decisions in a fast-moving operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support Mobile Response Officers throughout their shifts.
- Allocate and delegate duties to Mobile Response Officers in accordance with operational requirements.
- Liaise closely with the 24/7 Control Room to coordinate responses, deployments and operational activity.
- Carry out scheduled lock-ups, mobile patrols, alarm responses and emergency call-outs when required.
- Conduct welfare, conformance and performance visits to officers working across client sites.
- Monitor officer attendance, presentation, conduct and compliance with company procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to officers when dealing with incidents, emergencies and challenging situations.
- Respond to security incidents and take appropriate action to protect clients, personnel and property.
- Liaise professionally with clients, emergency services and other relevant stakeholders.
- Identify operational issues and escalate matters appropriately to the Control Room or Management Team.
- Complete accurate electronic reports, incident reports and supervisory records.
- Assist with the investigation and management of operational incidents and client concerns.
- Ensure Mobile Response Officers maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
- Support the induction, mentoring and ongoing development of Mobile Response Officers.
- Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures and industry best practice.
- Act as a positive role model and promote the company's values of professionalism, integrity and reliability.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- Full UK manual driving licence, meeting company insurance requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident decision-making and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Reliable, professional and trustworthy approach.
- Good attention to detail and accurate report-writing ability.
- Ability to lead by example, support colleagues and take responsibility.
- Ability to provide a full five-year checkable history for screening.
Desirable
- Previous experience in mobile response, patrol or alarm response.
- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience within security.
- Experience working with a security Control Room.
- Experience dealing with alarm activations and emergency call-outs.
- Experience conducting welfare, conformance or performance checks.
- Relevant supervisory or management training.
Previous mobile response and supervisory experience would be advantageous, but we are also keen to hear from candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, professionalism, judgement and leadership potential.
