An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Interiors Department as an Indoor Furniture Sales Co-ordinator & Home Accessories Merchandiser.
At Shackletons, we're a family-owned and run Home & Garden Centre with a reputation for exceptional customer service and beautifully presented departments. We're looking for an enthusiastic, creative and customer-focused individual who enjoys helping customers transform their homes while maintaining an inspiring retail environment.
The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, coordinating furniture sales and ensuring our home accessories department is beautifully merchandised and fully stocked.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert advice and guidance to customers on indoor furniture and home accessories.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming shopping experience.
- Coordinating customer furniture orders and ensuring excellent communication throughout the sales process.
- Building strong product knowledge across our indoor furniture and home accessories ranges.
- Creating attractive and inspiring merchandise displays to maximise sales.
- Replenishing stock and maintaining high standards of presentation throughout the department, including general housekeeping.
- Receiving, unpacking, pricing and displaying new stock.
- Operating the till and processing customer transactions.
- Supporting the Indoor Living Department Manager with the day-to-day running of the department.
The role includes working one weekend day each week.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for interiors, furniture and home styling.
- Enjoys delivering outstanding customer service.
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Has an eye for detail and takes pride in creating attractive displays.
- Is confident working as part of a team while also using their own initiative.
- Has previous retail, furniture or merchandising experience (preferred but not essential).
