Showroom Sales Consultant
Role Overview
As a Showroom Sales Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for customers visiting our family-run showroom. Your role is to provide a welcoming and professional experience, guide customers through our range of bespoke fitted furniture, understand their requirements, and help them choose the best solution for their home.
You will prepare quotations, process orders accurately, and ensure every customer receives outstanding service from their first visit through to placing their order.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers into the showroom and provide a friendly, professional service.
- Demonstrate our range of fitted wardrobes, home offices, media units, and other bespoke furniture.
- Listen carefully to customers’ needs and recommend suitable products and design options.
- Explain materials, finishes, colours, accessories, and available upgrades.
- Prepare accurate quotations and sales orders using our CRM system.
- Process customer orders and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
- Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the sales process.
- Answer telephone calls, emails, and online enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Keep the showroom clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times.
- Assist with merchandising, displays, and promotional materials.
- Work closely with the design, survey, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
- Follow company procedures and maintain high standards of customer care.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, confident, and professional manner.
- Strong customer service and sales skills.
- Good organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computers and learning CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in retail, showroom sales, furniture, kitchens, bedrooms, or home improvement is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
