Title: AV Installation Technician – Commercial Installations
Christchurch | Full-time, Permanent
Salary from £30,000 depending on experience
CPS Group is looking for a practical, hands-on AV Installation Technician to join our team. You’ll install professional audio, lighting and AV systems across commercial sites and venues throughout the South Coast.
This is a hands-on installation role, not a sound engineering or music production position. You’ll work with cabling, hand and power tools, equipment mounting, fault finding and working at height.
AV experience is useful but not essential. We’re also interested in candidates with backgrounds in electrical installation, data cabling, CCTV, security, fire alarms, telecoms or similar technical trades.
The role includes installing AV, audio and lighting equipment, running and terminating cables, installing containment, mounting screens and speakers, soldering, servicing equipment, PAT testing and fault finding.
You’ll need practical installation experience, confidence with tools and cabling, basic electrical knowledge, good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You must also be comfortable working from ladders and at height and have a full UK driving licence with van driving experience.
An ECS or CSCS card would be helpful but can be arranged for the right person. Full training will be provided on our AV, audio and lighting systems.
We offer a permanent full-time position, company pension, on-site parking, ongoing training and varied projects across the South Coast.
Some evening work, travel and occasional overnight stays may be required. Weekend work is rare.
