Overview
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Fabricator/Welder to join our busy manufacturing team. You’ll be working on used shipping containers, fabricating and welding to add door and window frames, new roof and wall panels, and occasionally tackling some joinery or basic plumbing. We need someone versatile who can handle a bit of everything. Your skills will help create top-quality products with a focus on safety, durability, and craftsmanship. This is a great chance to work with different materials and tools in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts accurately according to specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide fabrication and assembly processes.
- Measure materials precisely using basic math skills to ensure correct dimensions and fit.
- Conduct quality checks on welded joints and fabricated components to meet safety standards and quality benchmarks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues and suggest improvements for efficiency and quality.
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication involving sheet metal, mechanical assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Mechanical knowledge related to metal properties, welding techniques, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, or blueprints accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments is preferred.
