Slinger Signaller

Ernest May Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Slinger Signaller to join a busy construction project, starting 2nd September 2026.
This is a great opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused Slinger Signaller to join an established site team. You will be responsible for assisting with lifting operations, safely directing plant and machinery, and ensuring loads are moved and positioned safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Slinging and directing loads safely during lifting operations
- Communicating clearly with crane and plant operators using recognised hand signals and radios
- Safely securing and positioning loads
- Carrying out visual checks of lifting accessories and equipment before use
- Maintaining a safe working area around lifting operations
- Following lift plans, site procedures and health & safety requirements
- Attending toolbox talks and site briefings
- Working closely with site management and other members of the construction team
- Reporting any hazards, damaged equipment or unsafe lifting practices immediately
- Driving company vehicles where required, subject to the relevant licence
Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger Signaller ticket
- Previous experience working as a Slinger Signaller on construction or civil engineering sites
- Good understanding of lifting operations and site safety
- Ability to communicate clearly with operators and ground personnel
- Good level of spoken English
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence desirable
