Summary
Join Ye Olde Rock Inn as a lead Server in our traditional country pub located in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, the closest pub to the Roaches. Your role will be vital in delivering excellent guest experiences and supporting but also playing a leading roll in our team in creating memorable moments for visitors. We are looking for someone with proven experience & maturity in waiting on, hosting & serving guests. Someone capable of talking in a grown up way with customers & years of front of house experience (excluding bar). Hours to be offered can potentially be negotiated BUT will involve consistent weekend work plus a few other shifts each week during the Summer period & beyond. This position can be offered as a summer only position or as a permanent offering .
Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers with professionalism and warmth.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring timely delivery.
- Ensure our table status system is kept up to date
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area.
- It is essential you get to learn the food and drinks menus as well as potential allergens
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Also realise given we are a small team everyone in the front of house team runs food and drinks
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Qualifications
- Proven multi year experience in hospitality or restaurant service, not just someone that has taken plates to and from tables.
- Excellent communication, banter and guest service skills
- A fun, bubbly and positive can do attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team & also take a leading role when needed.
- Time awareness skills.
- Math skills for handling bills and transactions.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required, mostly weekend work
- A friendly attitude with a passion for hospitality.
