Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services essential for our operations. Duties
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems.
- Analyse organisational needs and prepare purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
- Negotiate favourable terms and prices with suppliers whilst maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and update supplier databases regularly.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast requirements and optimise inventory levels.
- Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers or alternative sources of supply.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, legal requirements, and industry standards during procurement activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems.
- Demonstrable negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous terms from suppliers.
- Knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and merchandising practices is highly desirable.
- Experience working with ERP systems and supply chain software to streamline procurement processes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
