We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Recruitment Assistant to join our team in Wallsend. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within the fast-growing Utilities and Sustainability sector, working in a supportive environment where success is recognised and rewarded.
You will work closely with and provide day-to-day support to our Head of People and Culture, assisting with recruitment activities across the business. You will help source high-quality candidates, build strong relationships and deliver an excellent experience for candidates and hiring managers.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting the Head of People and Culture with recruitment activities and wider people-related projects
- Sourcing and approaching suitable candidates through job boards, social media and networking
- Screening applications and conducting initial candidate interviews
- Coordinating interviews and supporting the offer and onboarding processes
- Building and maintaining strong candidate relationships
- Developing an understanding of recruitment requirements and market trends
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date recruitment records
- Working towards individual and team targets
About you
Relevant experience is essential. You will have either:
- Experience and market knowledge within the Utilities and Sustainability sector; or
- Strong recruitment experience, with a proven ability to source candidates and build professional relationships
You will be organised, confident and proactive, with excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to succeed in recruitment. You will also be comfortable working closely with senior colleagues and managing multiple priorities.
