Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time AM Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in warehouse operations and logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse activities during morning shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient handling of materials and products. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, but full training will be provided to develop your skills further. This position is ideal for those seeking flexible working hours with a focus on safety, organisation, and teamwork. Hours of work are 4am - 8am Tuesday to Friday and 4.30am - 7.30am Saturday
Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts (training provided)
- Managing shipping and receiving processes to ensure accurate documentation and timely dispatch of goods
- Picking and packing orders accurately to meet customer requirements
- Stocking shelves and organising inventory within the warehouse environment
- Operating warehouse management systems to track stock levels and update records
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain product standards
- Assisting with mechanical maintenance tasks where necessary
- Ensuring the workspace remains clean, safe, and organised at all times
- Supporting stock rotation and replenishment activities to optimise storage space
Skills
- Experience in materials handling, stock management or warehousing is desirable
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (training will be provided)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or similar software applications
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and documentation processes
- Proven experience in picking & packing orders efficiently and accurately
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse equipment is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and load & unload goods as required
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively
