We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sewing Machinist to join our busy Highlandwear manufacturing team. This role involves producing high-quality traditional Highland garments, including jackets and waistcoats, to the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
- Sewing and assembling Highlandwear garments to specification.
- Working with a variety of fabrics, including tartan and wool.
- Following patterns, measurements, and production instructions accurately.
- Maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assisting with garment finishing and quality control checks.
- Keeping workstations clean and organised.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet production targets.
- Experience in garment manufacturing is preferred.
- Knowledge of Highlandwear construction would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
