EXPERIENCED STEPFRAME / LOW LOADER DRIVER
Westbury Haulage is looking for an experienced Class 1 stepframe and low loader driver to join our team near Alfreton, Derbyshire.
The work involves transporting plant, machinery and abnormal loads throughout the UK using stepframe, extending low loader and low-bed trailers, operating up to 80-ton gross under STGO.
You must have:
- A Class 1 C+E licence
- Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- Previous low loader and plant transport experience
- Confidence loading and unloading plant and machinery
- Good knowledge of load security
- Experience with abnormal-load and STGO work
- The ability to deal directly with customers professionally
- A good attitude and the ability to use your own initiative
- Upto four nights a week
- Flexibility for some weeks of night work, including Friday nights
- Pride in looking after your allocated truck, trailer and customers’ machinery
This is specialist haulage work involving valuable equipment. We need someone reliable who can take responsibility for the job without constant supervision.
CPCS or NPORS plant qualifications would be an advantage.

Based near Alfreton, just off Junction 28 of the M1.
