Help us build a business that runs brilliantly
Part-time | Approximately 8 flexible hours per week | £16-18 per hour
This probably isn't the role you're expecting.
We're not looking for an administrator.
We're looking for someone who loves creating order, improving systems and taking ownership.
Someone who gets genuine satisfaction from making things run brilliantly.
Someone who notices problems before anyone else does and quietly fixes them.
If you're the sort of person who colour-codes your holiday plans, naturally organises family events or always ends up becoming "the organised one" wherever you've worked, then keep reading.
About Tan & Deliver
We're a family-owned business providing home sunbed rental across the Midlands.
Our customers love the convenience we provide, and many hire on an ongoing basis or return again and again.
We're proud of the service we deliver today, but we believe we can make it even better.
We're investing in better systems, smarter automation and AI so that routine work disappears and people can focus on making great decisions and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This role is a key part of that journey.
This role isn't about administration.
It's about ownership.
You'll become the operational heartbeat of the business.
You'll make sure customers are looked after.
You'll coordinate deliveries and collections.
You'll help improve the systems we use.
You'll spot better ways of doing things.
You'll work directly with the owner and have genuine influence over how the business develops.
We don't expect perfection.
We do expect someone who enjoys making things better.
A typical week might include
- Helping new customers arrange their home sunbed.
- Coordinating deliveries and collections with our driver.
- Managing renewals and keeping our beds earning revenue.
- Speaking with customers to ensure they're looked after.
- Improving a process that currently wastes time.
- Suggesting a better way of doing something.
- Helping us introduce new technology and AI into the business.
No two weeks are exactly the same.
We're probably a good fit if you...
✔ Love organising people, diaries or processes.
✔ Enjoy solving problems.
✔ Like speaking to customers.
✔ Are comfortable learning new technology.
✔ Prefer being trusted rather than micromanaged.
✔ Get satisfaction from improving the way things work.
This probably isn't for you if...
✘ You prefer repetitive administration.
✘ You like being given detailed instructions for everything.
✘ You'd rather maintain a process than improve it.
✘ You dislike making decisions.
That's absolutely fine—but this probably isn't the right role.
What you'll get
- £16-18 per hour depending on experience.
- Approximately 8 flexible hours per week.
- Hours spread across the week but a daily check in from Monday to Saturday is essential
- Freedom to organise your own time.
- Genuine trust and autonomy.
- Direct access to the business owner.
- The opportunity to influence how the business develops.
- A role where your ideas are genuinely listened to.
As the business grows, there may be opportunities for additional responsibility and hours, but we're far more interested in finding the right person than making promises about future growth.
What success looks like
After six months, customers feel everything "just happens".
The driver knows exactly what they're doing each day.
The business runs smoothly without constant supervision.
You've already introduced improvements that make life easier for both customers and the team.
And the owner can spend more time growing the business because they know the day-to-day operation is in safe hands.
Sound like you?
Rather than sending us a standard covering letter, we'd love you to tell us:
1. Tell us about something you've organised or improved that made other people's lives easier.
2. Why does this role appeal to you?
3. What do you enjoy most about being the person who keeps everything running smoothly?
