Krinvest Care Group are looking to recruit a Part Time Clinical / Counselling Psychologist at Draper House based in St Helens. This vacancy is for a part time position, working 2 days per week. Reporting to the Hospital Manager.
Service: Draper House is a 15 bedded all-female locked rehabilitation unit based in St Helens
Hours: 16 hours per week
Salary: From £45,500 to £53,000 Pro Rata (DOE)

Our Aim:
Our service aims to provide specialist assessment, treatment, interventions and support to enable the recovery of patient group whose complex needs cannot be met by general adult mental health services. Patients are supported through their recovery pathway with the aim of achieving successful community living with appropriate levels of support. We aim to address and minimise symptoms, develop insight (where functional ability allows), promote meaningful activities allowing for skills development, support activities of daily living where required, monitor and manage physical health needs all in collaboration with the patient and their carers/family members where possible.

About You:
The ideal candidate for this role, will be an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychologist. As part of the team, you will be working within an all-Female Rehabilitation Hospital. This is a highly rewarding job, supporting our clients to maintain their rehabilitation and enabling them to manage their behaviours successfully.
In order to be successful in this role, you will have a psychology degree and a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience as an Clinical/Counselling Psychologist. We require experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviours and a friendly and caring approach is essential.
No two days will look the same in this role, however your main duties will include:
- Assessing clients to understand their psychological needs, developing the right support and interventions for support
- Identifying goals and developing support plans to facilitate these goals
- Supporting clients directly on a 1 to 1 basis or via multi-disciplinary teams
- Attending group sessions with the client and wider supporting professionals
- Supervision of Psychology Assistant
- Working closely with the Hospital Manager to facilitate the support package for clients
- Creating behavioural support plans
- Monitoring client data and conducting mood assessments
- Liaising with external organisations, clients, and their families
