Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a range of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, pastries, and other hot and cold dishes
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
- Assist in menu planning and development for breakfast offerings
- Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, and fryers
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illnesses
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques specific to breakfast cuisine
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with serving or assisting front-of-house staff is advantageous but not essential
