Care Assistant – Leicester 17 Hours per Week | £12.71 per Hour
Come Together Care Support is looking for an experienced, compassionate and confident Care Assistant to join our team supporting a young male living in Leicester.
This role involves providing person-centred support to an individual with global developmental delay and epilepsy, helping him to live as independently and safely as possible while promoting his wellbeing and quality of life.
We are looking for someone who is calm under pressure, reliable, patient and able to build a positive, trusting relationship.
About the Role
- 17 hours per week
- £12.71 per hour
- Based in Leicester
- Permanent position
Duties may include:
- Providing personal care where required
- Supporting with daily living activities
- Promoting independence and choice
- Supporting with accessing the community and social activities
- Preparing meals and encouraging hydration
- Providing medication support (where trained)
- Monitoring wellbeing and recognising changes in health
- Following epilepsy care plans and responding appropriately to seizures
- Maintaining accurate care records
- Working in accordance with individual care plans, risk assessments and company policies
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in care
- Is confident supporting individuals with complex care needs
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is reliable, professional and compassionate
- Can work independently and follow care plans confidently
- Is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
