Emerald Windows & Doors – Swindon
We are looking for an Installer's Mate to join our installation team, working alongside our experienced installers on domestic window and door installations.
We are happy to provide training and support to help the right person develop their skills and progress. However, we are looking for someone who already has relevant hands-on experience within window and door installation, conservatories, construction or a similar trade. This is not a position for someone with no practical site experience.
The role
Working alongside an experienced installer, your duties will include:
- Assisting with the installation of windows and doors
- Removing existing windows, doors and other products
- Preparing openings ready for installation
- Assisting with fixing, sealing and finishing
- Loading, unloading and handling products safely
- Using hand and power tools
- Keeping customers' properties and working areas clean and tidy
- Looking after company tools, equipment and vehicles
- Supporting the installer with the day-to-day running of jobs
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Previous practical experience in window and door installation, conservatories, construction or a similar hands-on trade
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Good practical ability and willingness to learn
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a two-person installation team
- Physically comfortable with the practical nature of the role
- Good attention to detail
- Professional and respectful when working in customers' homes
- Full UK driving licence
Previous window, door or conservatory installation experience would be particularly advantageous.
Development
We're happy to train someone who already has a good practical foundation and wants to develop further within the industry.
For the right person, there will be opportunities to build their installation knowledge, learn different products and systems and develop towards becoming a more experienced installer.

Pay: £31,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
