Role summary
We’re looking for an experienced barista to join our friendly coffee cabin at Painswick Rococo Garden. If you love making excellent coffee, enjoy chatting with customers and take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a varied role - some days are fast-paced and bustling, while others are more relaxed, giving you time to connect with customers and maintain our high standards. You’ll support the smooth running of the cafe and help ensure food and drink is served safely and efficiently.
We take pride in serving excellent coffee with genuine, friendly service. Many of our customers are regular visitors, so building relationships and helping people feel welcome are key parts of the role. If you enjoy working with people, care about great coffee, and would like to join a friendly team in a unique garden setting, we’d love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities
· Preparing and serving coffee, drinks and cakes to a high standard.
serve hot and cold food and drinks
· Delivering excellent customer service, taking a proactive approach to ensure that visitors have a consistently great experience. Remain calm and cheerful under pressure and resolve feedback as required.
· working safely to ensure that the cafe complies with current legislation and maintains its 5* Food Hygiene rating.
· handling payments carefully and accurately.
· ensuring a high standard of presentation in the servery and outside seating area including clearing and cleaning tables and emptying bins.
· being part of achieving income and profitability targets.
· keeping the coffee cabin clean, organised and well-stocked, moving stock as required
· working effectively as part of a team, ensuring the cafe operates efficiently and collaborates well with other departments
· taking reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.
· Occasionally situations may arise that require the post holder to perform other duties or tasks as may be reasonably requested.
In addition, all employees are expected to work within the terms of their contract of employment.
Hours of work
Variable (zero hours). This role will normally be weekends between 9.30am-5pm. Some weekday shifts may be available.
This role will include some bank holiday and evening working.
Salary
National Minimum Wage. This is £12.71/hr for people aged 21+.
