Established in 1971, PSS is a leading UK remanufacturer of power steering, drivetrain, hydraulic, and mechanical components for the truck, bus, Land Rover, automotive, military, and industrial sectors.
From our headquarters in North Walsham, Norfolk, we supply customers across the UK and worldwide, including aftermarket distributors, workshops, fleet operators, and specialist vehicle businesses.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Automotive Parts Sales Advisor to join our experienced Parts Team.
This role will primarily focus on supporting the independent aftermarket within the truck, bus, and automotive sectors with the supply of remanufactured steering, drivetrain, and hydraulic components.
PSS has also recently expanded its Land Rover product range significantly, including steering boxes, steering pumps, differentials, gearboxes, and transfer cases.
The Role
Reporting to the Remanufacturing Sales Manager, you will be responsible for supporting customers, processing enquiries and orders, identifying vehicle parts, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the Parts Department.
This is a varied role offering long-term stability and career progression within a well-established engineering business.
Key Responsibilities
· Handling customer enquiries via phone and email
· Identifying vehicle parts using internal systems and parts lookup software
· Promoting and selling PSS products to new and existing customers
· Processing incoming core and repair units
· Preparing shipping paperwork and dispatch documentation
· Liaising with transport companies regarding deliveries and collections
· Supporting packing and dispatch operations when required
Candidate Requirements
Experience within an automotive parts department, motor factor, commercial vehicle environment, or automotive aftermarket business would be advantageous. However, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· Confident telephone manner
· Good attention to detail and accuracy
· Comfortable using computer systems
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Ability to work effectively within a team
· Any vehicle or technical knowledge relating to steering, drivetrain, hydraulic, or mechanical systems would be advantageous when supporting technical customer enquiries, although this is not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
