We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking Salon Manager to lead our team and take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the salon.
The Role
As Salon Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the salon, leading and supporting the team, maintaining high standards and ensuring every client receives an excellent experience. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, proactive and confident taking responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the salon and ensure shifts operate smoothly.
- Lead, motivate and support the team, ensuring staff maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness and professionalism.
- Assist with staff training, rotas, holiday cover and managing last-minute sickness.
- Provide excellent customer service and knowledgeable advice on tanning services, products and aftercare.
- Drive sales by upselling tanning courses, creams and products and encouraging strong sales performance across the team.
- Maintain exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and ensure all cleaning and sanitisation procedures are followed.
- Monitor stock levels, carry out stock counts and ensure products are well presented and replenished when required.
- Ensure salon policies, procedures and health and safety requirements are followed by all staff.
- Handle payments, cash and till procedures accurately.
- Support the salon's social media and promotional activity.
- Manage busy periods confidently and resolve day-to-day issues effectively.
- Communicate regularly with the business owners regarding staffing, salon performance, stock and any issues requiring attention.
What We're Looking For
- Previous management or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Confident leadership and excellent communication skills.
- Friendly, approachable and customer-focused.
- Strong sales skills with the confidence to upsell products and services.
- Reliable, organised and able to use your own initiative.
- Ability to multitask and work confidently in a fast-paced environment.
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and provide additional cover when reasonably required.
