A-Z Skips is a well-established and growing waste management and recycling company based in Bromsgrove. We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and safety-conscious Yard Operative to join our busy transfer station.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. Experience operating heavy plant is highly desirable, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
The Role
Your duties will include:
- Operating a Loading Shovel
- Operating a 360 Material Handler
- Operating a Moffett Forklift
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Sorting and processing waste and recyclable materials
- Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe
- Carrying out daily plant checks and basic maintenance
- Working closely with the yard and transport teams
- Following all Health & Safety procedures
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good awareness of health and safety
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in the waste, recycling or aggregates industry
- Experience operating loading shovels, 360 material handlers or Moffett forklifts
- Relevant plant tickets (NPORS, CPCS or equivalent)
- Telehandler or forklift experience
