Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 tramper Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service. The ideal applicant will possess relevant driving experience, particularly in commercial driving environments, and have familiarity with scrap tippers, bulk tippers, containers .
Duties
- Operate HGV Class 1 lorries in compliance with all road safety and traffic regulations
- Safely load and secure cargo on vehicle types as required
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel efficiency
- Deliver goods to designated locations, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures during driving, loading, unloading, and at delivery points
- Communicate professionally with dispatch teams and clients as needed
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably as a delivery driver or HGV driver
- Familiarity with scrap and bulk tippers holding an Mpqc card is highly desirable
- Demonstrate knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for heavy goods vehicle operation
- Experience with long-distance deliveries
- Valid UK driving licence for HGV Class 1 vehicles with relevant endorsements
- Ideal candidate will be 25yrs or older with no more than 6 penalty points
Pay: £800.00-£1,050.00 per week
