Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead and inspire a vibrant early childhood education setting opening soon in Limpley Stoke near Bath. In this role, you will oversee daily nursery operations, ensure high-quality childcare, and foster a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Your leadership will drive team performance, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and promote positive relationships with families and the community. Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children and staff
- Manage and motivate a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that support early childhood development and learning goals
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and safeguarding policies
- Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through effective communication and regular updates on children’s progress
- Oversee administrative tasks such as staffing schedules, record keeping, and budgeting to ensure smooth nursery functioning
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of childcare services offered
Experience
- Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood education or childcare environments
- Strong understanding of childcare regulations, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Valid driving license preferred for operational flexibility within the community or nursery premises
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team with confidence while fostering a positive work environment
