Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety guidelines are strictly followed to maintain hygiene and quality.
- Support the catering team in delivering exceptional service for events and functions.
- Help with the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Participate in meal preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and plating dishes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Maintain stock levels by assisting with inventory management and reporting shortages.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Experience in catering or restaurant settings will be considered a plus.
- A passion for culinary arts and willingness to develop cooking skills further is essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
