We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team based in Liverpool or Norwich. Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor.

Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Are you…
- Professionally qualified with a BSc, MSc, BEng or MEng in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status CEng, Member, or Associate Member of Institution of Structural Engineers, or Institution of Civil Engineers
- Knowledgeable in structural steelwork and reinforced concrete design to current European/British Standards
- Experienced in designing different types of building structures within a multi-disciplinary design team environment
- Committed to Continuing Professional Development
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll be working within the Structural Engineering team, supporting them in delivering excellent structural engineering project services to meet client needs.
You'll work collaboratively within a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment that values professional development and empowers you to grow your career.
Your day to day will include:
- Producing and checking structural design calculations, drawings, models, reports, specifications, and schedules
- Coordinating structural engineering design information with other technical disciplines such as Architecture and Building Services Engineering
- Setting and implementing structural concept design strategies and monitoring progress against sustainability and low carbon targets
- Acting as the lead structural designer on significant building structures design projects
- Mentoring other Structural Engineers and Technicians within the team as part of our commitment to professional development
