Overview
As a Mobile Tyre Fitter, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring vehicle tyres are safe and legal.
The company has no premises and works from van only.
requirements:
Applicant must live in Cardiff or at least in the CF postal area.
Have a full uk driving license and currently own a car or other mode of transport.
Applicant must have a reasonable amount of availability including weekends and be happy to work up to 12 midnight on rare occasions
Be ready to recieve calls off me at random times throghout the week due to the nature of emergency callouts.
Able to determine if a tyre is legal and roadworthy.
Identify wheel alignment issues from wear patterns on tyres.
Preferably the applicant must know how to Use a TPMS computer to diagnose sensor issues and replace/ reprogram tpms sensors. Training available if required.
Preferably have some experience in vehicle brake replacement.
Use a tyre machine and wheel balancer in a careful and professional manner.
Previous experience in tyre servicing is required
.Responsibilities
Breakdown of job responsibilities:
Be ready to recieve a call from me to assist me on tyre jobs, sometimes meeting me at the customers location within a reasonable time. Aiming to be with the customer within 1 and a half hours from initial contact.
Future responsibilities will require the applicant to work by themselves by recieving customer phone calls and attending jobs with use of the company's mobile tyre van.
Whilst working the responsibilities are as follows:
- Travel to customer locations including emergency breakdowns to replace or repair tyres on cars and vans.
- Check brakes on customer vehicles and determine, by measuring, if the brakes need replacing. Advice customer and offer to replace.
- Check and note all tyre conditions, regardless of the job to ensure optimal wheel and tyre performance and advice on any issues found.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining work performed and offering advice on tyre care and safety.
- Lift heavy tyres and equipment safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including tyres sold. parts used, and customer details for reporting.
Pay: £25.00 per hour
