The Role
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager who is passionate about hospitality and can inspire a high-performing team.
You will have overall responsibility for the hotel's operational performance, financial success, guest satisfaction, and team development. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading all day-to-day hotel operations.
- Driving revenue, profitability, and commercial performance.
- Overseeing our busy weddings and events business to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Supporting the successful launch and ongoing development of our new afternoon tea offering.
- Maintaining consistently high service standards across all departments, including food & beverage, accommodation, events, and leisure facilities.
- Managing budgets, payroll, stock control, and financial performance.
- Recruiting, developing, and motivating a passionate hospitality team.
- Building strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and the local community.
- Working closely with the wider hospitality group to deliver business objectives and implement best practice.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Hotel General Manager or Senior Operations Manager within a busy hotel.
- Has strong commercial awareness and a proven track record of improving business performance.
- Has experience managing weddings, events, and high-volume hospitality operations.
- Is a confident leader who leads by example and develops successful teams.
- Is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Has excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being involved in all aspects of hotel operations.
