About Do Gooder
Do Gooder is the all-in-one platform for charities. Website, donor CRM, payments, Gift Aid, fundraising pages, email and SMS, automation, reporting. One login, one database, one bill.
There are around 168,000 charities in the UK, and most of the small ones are running on goodwill, volunteers, and five tools that don't talk to each other. Big tech has ignored them. We haven't. Do Gooder exists so charities can stop wrestling with admin and get back to changing lives.
The role
This is a doer's job. You'll be out meeting charities, at their offices, at community events, at sector gatherings, and showing them there's a better way to run their digital tools. Your job is simple to describe and satisfying to do: find charities that need us, show them what Do Gooder does, and sign them up.
You'll be one of the first sales hires at an early-stage company. That means real ownership, a short line to the founders, and a direct hand in how we grow. No scripts handed down from a sales ops team. You'll help write the playbook.
What you'll do
- Find and approach small and mid-sized charities in person, by phone, and through your own network.
- Visit charities where they are: their offices, community centres, mosques, churches, fundraising events, and sector meetups.
- Demo Do Gooder in plain English to people who are busy, non-technical, and rightly sceptical of software promises.
- Own your pipeline from first hello to signed-up charity, and keep simple records of where things stand.
- Hand new charities over for onboarding so they start well and stay.
- Feed back what you hear on the ground. What charities ask for shapes what we build.
Who you are
- A natural relationship builder. You like people, and people like you.
- Comfortable knocking on doors, working a room, and hearing "no" without taking it home.
- Experience in field sales, fundraising, or community work is a real plus. Caring about the charity sector matters more than a sales certificate.
- Organised enough to run your own diary and pipeline without someone standing over you.
- Happy travelling to charities under your own steam.
- You can explain something technical to someone non-technical without talking down to them.
