Pangolin Editions is seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety and Facilities Manager to take ownership of the workplace safety across our sites, our buildings, infrastructure and compliance.
This is a senior role offering the opportunity to make a real impact within a unique manufacturing environment. You'll combine strategic planning with hands-on leadership, ensuring a positive health and safety culture throughout the business and that our facilities remain safe and efficient.
Key areas of the role
You'll be responsible for leading all aspects of Health & Safety and environmental compliance and the day-to-day management of our facilities, maintenance operations and contractors. Working closely with the Board of Directors, Central Leadership Team and departmental managers, you'll ensure our sites operate safely, efficiently and in line with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all Health & Safety activities across the business.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Develop and maintain Risk Assessments, RAMS, COSHH and company policies.
- Lead site inspections, audits and accident investigations.
- Deliver Health & Safety training, inductions and awareness initiatives.
- Promote a positive safety culture through visible leadership and continuous improvement.
- Manage building maintenance, infrastructure and workplace services across multiple sites.
- Manage maintenance, cleaning, security, waste disposal and external contractors.
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance and statutory inspections.
- Manage facilities and compliance budgets and support future site development projects.
About you
You'll be an experienced manager with a practical approach, strong leadership skills and the confidence to influence at all levels of the business.
Essential
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification).
- Environmental Management qualification.
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, construction or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience with LOLER, PUWER, Working at Height, COSHH and Fire Safety.
- Experience managing facilities, contractors and building maintenance.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment.
- CDM knowledge or qualification(advantage)
- Full UK driving licence
