Millview Medical Centre is a friendly, forward-thinking dual-site rural practice serving our local communities with pride. We are seeking an exceptional Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team and play a key role in delivering outstanding patient care.
This is an exciting opportunity to work autonomously across a diverse range of acute, urgent, chronic and complex presentations whilst helping to shape and develop services for our growing patient population.
The Role
As an Nurse Practitioner, you will be a highly skilled and autonomous clinician, providing expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing and ongoing care for patients presenting with both acute and long-term conditions.
You will utilise advanced clinical decision-making skills to manage differentiated and undifferentiated presentations, deliver same-day urgent care, undertake home visits where appropriate, and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services.
Working across all four pillars of Advanced Practice, you will:
Clinical Practice
- Assess, diagnose and manage acute, chronic and complex conditions.
- Provide same-day urgent care and clinical triage.
- Independently prescribe medication.
- Request and interpret diagnostic investigations.
- Develop personalised care plans and support patient self-management.
Leadership
- Provide clinical leadership within the team.
- Mentor and support junior clinicians and students.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement projects.
Education
- Share specialist knowledge and expertise across the practice.
- Support training and professional development of colleagues.
Research & Quality Improvement
- Participate in clinical audits, governance activities and research initiatives.
- Drive innovation and improvements in patient care.
About You
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and experienced clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent qualification).
- Independent/Supplementary Prescriber (V300).
- Demonstrable competency within the HEE Advanced Clinical Practice Framework.
- Evidence of a robust clinical portfolio.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
Desirable Experience
- General Practice or Primary Care Network experience.
- Community Mental Health experience.
- Supervising, mentoring or teaching junior staff.
- Leading quality improvement initiatives and service development projects.
