Primary Purpose of Position
- Assist in the day-to-day inspection and measurement of production parts, incoming goods and other materials as required by documented procedures and processes.
- Assist in the generation of reports and images using the various electronic imaging systems, including the application of image analysis utilising optical microscope and macro video cameras.
- Prioritise Daily Crimp testing.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Dimensional, mechanical and visual inspection of components from goods inwards and shop floor using the required sampling and measurement techniques.
- Correct processing and documenting of findings on appropriate paperwork.
- Carry out daily crimp tests in the allocated time period.
- Co-ordination and delivery of all passed inspected parts to the correct departments.
- Give support to all production issues relating to the quality of product or process and raw materials.
Person Specification
- Must have product knowledge and be able to interpret engineering drawing
- Must be able to use an extensive range of measuring equipment
- Basic computer experience
- Ability to work under pressure
