The Role:
As a Room Leader, you’ll take responsibility for leading a team of practitioners and apprentices, ensuring children receive exceptional care and learning opportunities within a safe, stimulating environment.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Lead and support a team of practitioners and apprentices within your room.
- Inspire and develop your team through coaching, guidance and ongoing support.
- Identify training needs and work alongside the Nursery Manager to support staff development.
- Ensure children experience engaging, age-appropriate activities that support their development.
- Create an enabling environment where children feel confident, valued and encouraged to flourish.
- Maintain accurate records, reporting and documentation.
- Participate in and lead staff training sessions, meetings, workshops and open days.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who brings passion, creativity and a commitment to delivering exceptional early years experiences.
Essential
- Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a day nursery with children under 2.
- Experience supporting and leading colleagues within an early years environment.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for creating outstanding learning experiences through play.
Desirable
- Experience supporting apprentices or developing other practitioners.
- Previous room leadership experience.
- A desire to progress into senior leadership within early years.
