1. Provide information and guidance to parents/carers, acting as first line of contact for City Family services.
2. Undertake referrals and signposting for families and professionals.
3. Create and update client records, with a high level of accuracy.
4. Create bookings for events, activities and courses.
5. Post content for social media channels, linked to service information.
6. Co-facilitate place-based parenting and child development sessions.
7. Maintain local service mapping.
8. Undertake safeguarding referrals.
9. Provide intelligence to City Family on issues presented by local parents, to best inform delivery of wider services.
10. Contribute to monitoring reports and statements of impact.
11. Comply with all organisational policies.
12. Attend supervision, team meetings and training sessions.
13. Clear up after sessions and keep working spaces clean and tidy.
Experience
- Sound experience of safeguarding procedures.
- Proven experience in working with people facing disadvantage or vulnerability.
- Experience providing support and advice via mixed media (email, phone, etc.) is essential.
- Experience in facilitating group sessions, including coffee mornings and stay-and-plays.
Knowledge and Qualifications
- A Level/BTEC educated or equivalent in Health, Care or Early Years, and demonstrable relevant experience and CPD.
- Recent training in domestic abuse, substance misuse or homelessness awareness.
Skills and Abilities
- Proven effective communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Suite, internet, Client Management Systems and social media accounts.
- Ability to make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to continued professional development.
- Ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, and strong communication skills to remove any barriers to access.
Additional
- This is a place-based role.
- This role requires one late start/finish (Monday) and a possibly a Saturday morning.
Terms and Conditions
Hours
14–16 hours per week, worked over 3 days

Annual Leave
26 days (FTE), plus bank holidays and an additional day for birthday leave
