Hotel Maintenance & Refurbishment Role – Petite Hotels (Dorset)
We’re a small, independent hotel group with three boutique coastal properties in Dorset - each with its own character and charm. We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable, and skilled individual to take care of maintenance across our hotels, helping us keep them looking their best all year round.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for keeping our hotels in top condition - from painting and gardening to general repairs and refurbishment projects. The work is varied and rewarding, and we’re looking for someone who takes real pride in what they do.
Key Responsibilities
- Weekly gardening and upkeep of outdoor areas
- Painting and decorating all hotel rooms and public spaces
- General maintenance and repairs as needed
- Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
- Supporting refurbishment and improvement projects
- Working to timescales and project deadlines where required
- Ensuring our guests enjoy beautifully maintained spaces
About You
We’re open to all candidates, but ideally you’ll bring some experience in maintenance, property care, or refurbishment. Most importantly, you’ll be practical, organised, and able to work independently with a good eye for detail.

- Are confident with tools and refurbishment projects
- Can paint to a high standard and enjoy keeping things looking fresh
- Have some basic plumbing, electrical, or carpentry skills
- Can manage small projects and see them through to completion
- Take pride in your work and enjoy being part of a small, friendly team
- Preferably can drive
- Motivated and enthusiastic
