Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Post-natal Midwife to provide expert care and support to mothers and their newborns during the crucial postpartum period. In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based midwifery services, specifically home visits to mothers who need extra help.
Responsibilities
- Conduct post-natal home visits
- Provide personalized guidance on breastfeeding, infant care, and maternal self-care practices
- Offer emotional support and reassurance to new mothers navigating the postpartum transition
- Educate parents on recognizing warning signs and when to seek further medical attention
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and care plans using IT systems
- Manage your time effectively to prioritize urgent cases while providing attentive ongoing support
Experience
- 7 years experience working as a midwife in the UK, preferably with postpartum focus
- Strong communication skills to build trust and effectively educate new parents
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and record-keeping
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining quality care
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team
