We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in what they put on the plate.
Experience in a professional kitchen is essential, but we’re more interested in finding the right person to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Get involved with food prep and cooking, making sure everything is tasty, consistent and up to our usual standards.
- Keep on top of food safety, making sure everything is stored, handled and cleaned properly and to the right standards.
- Keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy periods, getting orders out on time while making sure the food stays at a high standard.
- Get involved in planning the menu and choosing ingredients, helping us keep things fresh, exciting and appealing to our customers.
- Keep the kitchen clean, tidy and organised, making sure it’s a safe and efficient place to work.
- Be a positive part of the team, working well with everyone and helping create a friendly atmosphere for both staff and customers.
Qualifications
- Experience working as a chef in a restaurant, café or similar hospitality setting.
- A good understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards.
- Someone who takes pride in their food and cares about keeping quality consistent.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Confident with food preparation, cooking and the day-to-day operation of a kitchen.
- Previous restaurant or café experience is preferred, but we’re more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude.
